Hey Reader, I almost didn’t go on a walk with my family the other day. It didn’t feel important enough. I had other things I could have been doing at that time. The truth is this: Most midlife moms don’t struggle with motivation. We think too long. And as we are going through all the options, we don’t make a decision at all. We become paralyzed and then procrastination creeps in. So here is something you can try: The 10-Minute Decision Rule If something is on your mind, give yourself 10 minutes to decide. Set a timer on your phone. Once you decide, take action immediately! No spiraling. Just decide → act. Because here’s what happens when you don’t: You second-guess yourself. You delay your goals. You start believing you can’t trust your own instincts. That’s where confidence actually breaks down. It doesn't have to be big moments. It can also happen in the small, everyday ones. When I went on our recent family walk, nothing dramatic happened. But I proved something to myself: I can take make a decision quickly. Try this today: Pick one small decision you’ve been putting off. Give yourself 10 minutes to make a decision. And follow through immediately. That will build self-trust. If you can relate to this, I talked more about this in my recent YouTube video. It was a real life moment that happened without overthinking. Check out the video here. And if you use the 10-minute decision rule, reply to this email and tell me what you used it to help you decide. Be you. Be focused. Be well. Shanna |

Hey Reader, Did you ever say that when you were younger or have you. heard your kids say it recently, "From the bottom of my heart"? Well, that is how I feel. Today is the day! Hey Reader, End Mom Guilt in Midlife is officially live on Amazon right now. I can not even pretend this moment isn’t a big deal for me. It is huge. If any part of that is your story, this book is for...
