Hey Reader, As January comes to a close, I wanted to pause and take a calm moment with you. This month always feels long. It is full of people telling us what we need to do to get ready to get through the year. It is full of fresh starts, big intentions, and then the reality of cold mornings, darker days, and winter weather. We have to take charge. ❄️ If you’re in the middle of snow, ice, or just the heaviness of winter, I hope you’re finding small ways to stay safe, warm, and steady. January doesn’t always end with a dramatic “ta-da.” Sometimes our goals and intentions for the month seem to get derailed or become nonexistent because of everything going on. If this month didn’t go the way you imagined, it doesn’t mean you failed. It means you’re human who is living through real life, real seasons, and real weather. As we move toward February, I’m holding onto this reminder: So if today looks like:
You’re are on the right path because you are in control of the direction you are headed. Keep going and taking one step at a time. Thank you for being here with me this month. I’m grateful you take a few minutes to read, reflect, and reset alongside me. Stay warm. Be gentle with yourself. Be you, be well, be focused, Shanna |

When I set out to write this book, I wasn’t sure anyone would pick it up. Today is the day! Hey Reader, End Mom Guilt in Midlife is officially live on Amazon right now. I can not even pretend this moment isn’t a big deal for me. It is huge.
