Hey Reader, Can I be honest about something? For years, I planned my new year the same way: a burst of ambition in late December, a color-coded list by January 1, and a sense of failure by February. The problem was never that I lacked discipline. The plan was built for a woman with no kids, no aging parents, no business, and no need for rest. It didn’t include me as I actually am. It was just trying to achieve the most I could in the smallest amount of time. Not my reality! This year I’m doing it differently, and I’d love for you to do the same for yourself. I’m starting a new YouTube series called: Your Unhurried Plan for 2027: clarity without the overwhelm It starts in October with a new video every week until 2027. I am also going to be going LIVE on Youtube as well to talk about the goal sheets I am using for this process. We’re starting in the fall on purpose. There’s no January 1 deadline breathing down your neck, and no pressure to have it all figured out in one weekend. We’ll take it one small, honest step at a time. Over the series, we’ll walk through:
You don’t need a fancy planner or a free weekend. A few quiet minutes will do. Here’s where to watch: https://www.youtube.com/@theShannaJanel If you subscribe and tap the bell, you’ll see each video as it comes out. One small thing: hit reply and tell me the one word you’d love to describe your 2027. I read every reply, and your answers will help shape what we cover. Also let me know if you want a copy of the first worksheet and I will send it to you! Let's create some more clarity, Shanna P.S. If you have a friend who’s already dreading her January to-do list, forward this to her. This is more fun together. Find Your Flourish | Reality with Shanna |
Helping midlife moms finally feel enough so they can stop overthinking, take action, and build a life that includes them too.
The end of summer always sneaks up on me ↓ Hey Reader, One minute, we're in that slower summer rhythm that has later mornings, vacations, kids coming and going, and the school calendar appears! Practice schedules. School supply lists. New routines. Earlier mornings. Activities starting back up. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I start thinking: Okay. I need to get myself together. But here's what I've been thinking lately: Maybe we don't need to get everything together. Maybe we just...
Hey Reader, Summer has an interesting way of changing the rhythm of life. The alarms aren't quite as early. The schedules aren't quite as full. Homework disappears. Practices slow down. There are more evenings with extra time to fill, more spontaneous ice cream runs, and more opportunities to simply be together. I love this season. I love how the stress level of my house immediately decreases. I love hearing laughter from another room instead of reminders about assignments. I love lingering...
Hey Reader, Summer always starts with such good intentions, doesn’t it? I get all excited to begin the season and ready to get going with everything. We imagine slow mornings, family memories, fresh routines, maybe even finally reading that book sitting on the nightstand since January. Then suddenly someone needs a ride, there are wet towels everywhere, the kitchen somehow closes never, and we’re eating popsicles in the car between errands. That counts as summer too. I have to remind myself...
